Year 6

Year 6 have explored how images can represent thoughts and feelings linked to their My Happy Mind learning. They have used their explorations of the work of the artist Keith Haring to inspire their designs.

Year 6 are continuing to develop their sketchbooks this term with their new theme of Activism Art. Here are the first of our explorations, we are studying the work of the artist Keith Haring. His artwork is described as a visual language, we were looking at some of the images to see what we thought they could mean and what message we thought they were trying to give.

David Hockney Inspired Christmas Card Landscapes

Year 6's fantastic entry designs for the HEP Mosaic Competition to celebrate Inclusion and Diversity.

Year 6 have continued to be inspired by David Hockney landscapes. Here are some of our original creations for the Christmas card designs.

Year 6 continue to explore the work of David Hockney as inspiration for their unit on exploring colour. Here are some of our sketch book pages, we use our sketch books to gather ideas and thoughts about our own work and the work of other artists.

Year 6 have taken inspiration from Ancient Greek mythology to write instructions about dealing with mythical monsters.

In Art, Year 6 have started their Exploring Colour unit, we are working in the first phase of ‘inspiration’ where we are gathering ideas from other artists.

Year 6 have started their topic on the Titanic, we created a chronology of the key events leading up to the disaster
