Dr Nick Rudman

I had been a primary school headteacher for 27 years before retiring from headship in July 2023. I have lived and worked in Essex for the last 37 years, and have been a headteacher and an executive headteacher in 6 different schools. I now work as a school inspector for Ofsted and also for the local authority, helping to support school leaders. 

Originally from the north-east of England, I studied Humanities at Teesside University, graduating in 1984 before training as a primary school teacher at St John's College, York. More recently, I completed an MA in education and then a doctorate in education at Anglia Ruskin University. 

Outside of education, I enjoy running, reading and supporting Middlesbrough Football Club.

I am delighted to be a governor at Spring Meadow Primary School and hope to use any experience I might have gained over the years to help provide pupils with the best experiences of learning and personal development possible.
