A welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Spring Meadow Primary School and 'School House' Nursery

Welcome to the Spring Meadow website.  Whether you are already a member of our school community, considering joining us, or just passing by,  I hope that you enjoy your visit and find the information that you are looking for.

At Spring Meadow, our mission is to 'Aim High, Inspire, and Make a Difference'.   We believe passionately that it is possible and necessary to balance high expectations with kindness, compassion and nurture, so that all members of our community are supported academically, socially and emotionally to go 'Above and Beyond' and to achieve their very best.  This applies equally to our families, our staff and the wider community of Harwich.

Our curriculum has been designed to support these aims and is underpinned by our values: Aspiration, Social Justice, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect and Equity.  At Spring Meadow, we value and celebrate diversity and have worked hard to make sure that this is reflected in our curriculum and in the daily life of our school.   We take a Trauma Informed approach to building relationships and supporting behaviour,  understanding that all behaviours are a form of communication and that it is our role as adults to understand every individual and support them to learn how to regulate their behaviour and emotions.

Everyone is welcome and included at Spring Meadow and we are very proud of every member of our school community.

Please feel free to contact me head@springmeadow.essex.sch.uk if you would like to know more.
