Grace Hopper was an American computer scientist, mathematician, and United States Navy Rear Admiral. She was a pioneer of computer programming.
Her legacy was an inspiring factor in the creation of the The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) an annual conference designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. It is the world's largest gathering of women and non-binary technologists.
