Spring Meadow Primary School & School House Nursery is very proud to be an active part of the Multi-Schools Council.
This is a council to give children a voice and running awareness sessions in schools, tackling issues that children tell us. A wide range of schools are involved right across Essex and includes Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Specialist settings.
What we love about this council is that the voices of the children are at the heart of the council and the work that results from those discussions. Our children attend the termly Multi-Schools Council meetings and take part in linked events as they occur throughout the school year.
The Multi-Schools Council speaks to young people about how we can break down the negative stigma shown towards children with SEND and mental health difficulties while at the same time naturally doing this through collaborative meetings and events. By educating children in schools about our differences, we hope we will see a more accepting society. We are enjoying working as part of the Multi-Schools Council and hope that together we can hope to make a positive change.
