myHappymind Bronze Award

We are proud to announce that our school is officially a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school. The Accreditation recognises schools that are embedding the myHappymind curriculum into school life and taking real action to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the school community.

Introducing 'myHappymind'

You may have heard your children speaking about a programme that we use across all year groups called ‘myHappymind’.

‘myHappymind’ is all based around helping children to understand how their brain works and to support them in developing positive skills and habits to be their very best selves! ‘myHappymind’ is delivered in school by our class teachers through a series of interactive lessons and then the children apply this learning throughout the day.

'As the Head Teacher of Spring Meadow Primary School & School House Nursery I would just like to say how impressed I have been with the children's depth of understanding of how the brain works following the 'myHappyMind' sessions.  I have also been amazed by the way 'myHappyMind' has supported our pupils development and understanding of their emotions and feelings.' By Mrs Patrick.

To further embed this learning and ensure that you are able to engage in these topics with your child, ‘myHappymind’ has developed a set of resources for parents.  These resources can be accessed online on your computer, or through an app on your phone. The resources allow children to continue to practise some of the habits they have developed at school, such as ‘happy breathing’, and help you to learn more about what they are learning in the programme. Also included are activities for you to do together at home, to complement the in-school lessons.

To access these materials, just go to https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources and you’ll be guided through the process. We really encourage you to make use of this free content so that you can support your child in getting the best out of ‘myHappymind’.    You can also download the free ’myHappymind’ app to use with your children.  This app can be downloaded from Google Play or the from the App store.  The code for our school is 114834 and you will need this to be able to sign up and access the amazing resources.

If you have any questions about the ‘myHappymind’ curriculum, please contact your class teacher. If you have any technical questions about accessing the resources, please contact hello@myHappymind.org
