Admissions

Admission to SEMH Partnership Provisions is agreed through a panel. The panel is made up of a selection of people from the following teams/services; SEND Inclusion Partners, Educational Psychologists, Education Access, the most local Pupil Referral Unit, local Headteachers and a representative from the SEMH Enhanced Provision. Other specialists may also be invited to attend.

  • Tuesday 7th October 2025 (submission deadline 23/09/25)
  • Thursday 11th December 2025 (submission deadline 27/11/25)
  • Thursday 5th February 2026 (submission deadline 22/01/26)
  • Thursday 19th March 2026 (submission deadline 05/03/26)
  • Thursday 14th May 2026 (submission deadline 30/04/26)
  • Thursday 9th July 2026 (submission deadline 25/06/26)

The school where the child is on roll will need to complete the relevant Request for Support paperwork and submit this to the their local panel for review. Once discussed at panel, the referring school will be informed of the outcome.

The primary provisions in North East Essex share a panel which will meet on the dates detailed above with the following submission deadlines:

All requests for support to be sent via email to NEprimarySEMH@Springmeadow.essex.sch.uk by the deadline date.

The SEMH Partnership Provisions are different to all the other SEMH Provisions that we have in Essex for the other needs (such as HI or Autism), namely:

  • a child doesn't need an EHCP to access the support at the provision

  • the child does not have to be on roll at the school that hosts the SEMH enhanced provision

  • the referring school must be engaged in the graduated approach to assess, plan and review the child or young person's SEMH needs regularly through One Planning
