Special Educational Needs

Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities (SEND) At Spring Meadow

Welcome

“working together to meet all our needs for all our children’’

At Spring Meadow we have a strong ethos of support for ‘all’ our children.
Some children for a variety of reasons may need extra support for a short period only during their time with us. Other children may have an identified specific need/ needs or disability that require/s continuous support throughout their school life. We believe in working in partnership with pupils and parents to achieve the best for our pupils. If you would like to find out more please visit the web pages listed below.

The  Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) at Spring Meadow is Mrs Donegan. If for any reason you would like to make an appointment to meet with the SENCo please do so by phone or by calling in at the school office.

Here at Spring Meadow in addition to our teaching staff we have a dedicated team of learning support staff (LSAs). They are highly skilled in supporting both children’s needs and their learning. There is a wide range of expertise and we provide on-going training for this committed group of Spring meadow staff.

On the next page there is a list of websites you may find useful. Some are for SEND support services others support children’s learning e.g. in literacy and numeracy.
