If you have flowers in your garden (even a dandelion) get your child to grab it and take a close look at perhaps using tweezers, scissors and a knife to take it apart. Ask your child to count the number of sepals, petals, stamens and carpels in the flower. Use PowerPoint Slides to support this activity. Children to then complete worksheet which asks them to label the parts of a flower.
