Reading and comprehension

Reading

Continue to read your book at home and make sure it is being recorded in your reading record.

Today I would like you to choose a book to read from our Virtual Library below:

Comprehension

‘Tyrannosaurus Drip’ by Julia Donaldson.

For today’s home learning task, read the pages of the book and answer the questions below.

What do you think the Tyrannosaurus’ are trying to do?

What has happened in the last illustration?

What do you think is going to happen to the egg?

What do the words ‘grim’ and ‘grisly’ mean?

Why do you think the author has used an ellipsis (…) at the end of the page?

Write down a phrase that uses alliteration. Remember, alliteration is where words close to each other in a sentence start with the same sound e.g. terrible tyrannosaurus.
