Reading Resources

As it isn't going to be possible for most of you to regularly change your reading books at the moment, have a look at the links to some fantastic resources and websites on this page where you can access lots of e-books for free! Oxford Owl are offering free access to a large collection of e-books - you can even select your colour band if you are not yet a free reader. This should hopefully support you to continue reading.

There are also a range of resources to develop your reading comprehension skills. I have uploaded a range of paper based comprehension tasks (but you can have a go at these by reading the text and questions on your screen if you don't have access to a printer). Alternatively, you could use Read Theory, which will give you access to 1000s of texts and comprehension questions online - all for free!

Remember that all of these resources are just here to support you with your reading and none of them are compulsory. If you need any support with this, please feel free to contact your child's class teacher via the class email.

The Word Collector by Peter Hamilton Reynolds

A boy loves collecting words. He gives his collection to the world so everyone can share their thoughts and feelings.
