In phonics today, we are going to focus on the tricky word people.
Tricky words are words that we cannot sound out yet. We know some of the GPCs in the word but not the tricky part.
What GPCs do we know in the word people?
Can you write the word people using a different colour to show the tricky part of the word? The picture above will help you and there are examples below.

Can you think of a way of remembering how to spell people?
E.g. People Eat Omelettes People Like Eggs
Can you write a sentence using the word ‘people’?
E.g. The people in the town waved to the queen as she went past.
