L.O. I can write my own quest adventure.

W.up: Abstract nouns (Give your child 60 seconds to write down as many abstract nouns as they can think of. Remind your child that abstract nouns are thoughts and feelings) Please see attached picture of examples of abstract nouns that the children can use in their writing.

Today your child should use their journey map to write their own quest adventure. Children should take all that they have learnt over the last week and a half and use this to write their stories. Remind them that a quest adventure needs to have the five parts that they have planned yesterday but that it should be written in more detail like a proper story not just notes like they did yesterday. This is their chance to show off all they have learnt at home.

Success Criteria:

  • Abstract nouns
  • Adverbs
  • Openers
  • Features of a quest adventure
  • Adjectives
  • Past tense
  • Punctuation
  • Check sense
