L.O. I can write an imaginative poem.
W.up: Words that use the prefix 'un' and 'dis'
This month is black history month. To celebrate the achievements and to commemorate those who have fought for equality amongst Black people, we are focusing the next three days of literacy on this to better educate the children on the lack of equality that black people have experienced and still do experience in the world today.
Today you are going to imagine that you have a magic bag. I want you to write about what you would put in your bag that meant that we could live in a world without racism.
My poem would read something along the lines of this;
In my magic bag I have....
A world without fear and hatred.
A world where everyone is equal.
A world where all are free to be who they wish to be.
A world where no one is unwanted or dismissed.
