*technical vocabulary is where something is specific to the topic (Victorian/Singer sewing machine/invented).
I have taken some words from the learning objective and put them in bold. Can you think about what these words mean?
To edit your work means you’re checking it makes sense and ensuring you have used the correct features and structure of the work.
To up-level your work means you are going to use high level vocabulary and see if you can improve on any punctuation or grammar (can you use subordinating conjunctions anywhere? What about expanded noun phrases).
In this unit of literacy, you are going to write an explanation text about a famous inventor and their invention. This links to our current topic on significant individuals too.
