Yesterday I asked you to create a mind map of the things you have done at home in lockdown. Today, I would love for you to use these ideas to create a narrative in the form of a book or, a diary if you prefer, to document all of the fantastic things you have done during lockdown. Looking at your mindmap, choose one idea at a time and draw a picture to illustrate it. Then write a sentence or caption to explain your drawing. You could even add labels! You could put one thing you have done on each page or you could put two things onto a page, depending on how big your paper is.
It might be a good idea to write your story on individual pieces of paper and then staple or fix it together at the end so that you don’t run out of paper or worry if you make a mistake.
I would like you to do this activity over the next two days so please don’t rush this or worry about getting it all done today. Also, you do not have to include every single thing you have done at home as I’m sure you would run out of time! So only pick your favourite memories to include. I would suggest writing up two things today and two things tomorrow, although you could do more if you wish.
Don’t forget to include a front cover for your book/diary with your name on!
