Today (and the rest of this week) we are going to become biographers by writing about the life of William Shakespeare. To do this we are going to make a mini book all about him.

Create a book by folding a piece of paper in half from top to bottom and then fold it in half again from left to right.

Design a front cover for your book. The front cover of your book should be able to tell everyone what it is about without them having to open it. Therefore perhaps you could draw a picture of William Shakespeare and write his name as I have done below. Don’t forget to include your name on the front cover too so everyone knows who has written it.

When you have finished, watch this Cbeebies video to learn who William Shakespeare was. Please stop at 0:39 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhEQDKZxvZY

Was your prediction from yesterday correct? Now, on the left-hand side of your book as you open it up I would like you to write about his career (his job). What did he do? What did he write? Was he popular?

I have included a picture of my biography about William Shakespeare to help you.

Remember to use your capital letters, finger spaces and full stops when writing your sentence. Also make sure you read back through your work to check if it makes sense.
