You could use a paper plate, potato, stone, wooden spoon, cardboard box, lolly stick... the options are endless! After you've made your creation, why not use it to act out your chosen book?

Screen Free Challenge 15
Snow Volcano
Your screen free challenge today is to cause a snowy eruption!
What you will need: 2 spoonfuls of bicarbonate of soda, 1 spoonful of washing up liquid, a few drops of food colouring, 30ml vinegar, small container/jar and snow.
Instructions
1. Add everything except the vinegar to the container.
2. Carefully make a volcano shape around the container using snow.
3. Stand back and get ready! Add the vinegar and watch the eruption. If it doesn't work so well, add a bit more washing up liquid and vinegar and give it a good stir.

I'm sure you can guess what today's screen free challenge is... it's to have some fun in the snow! We don't get snow often so wrap up warm and venture outside. Build a snowman, have a snowball fight, make snow angels or just crunch through the snow and admire the surroundings!

It's day five of children's mental health week. Your challenge today is a simple one, do something (screen free) that makes you happy! This could be reading, drawing, crafts, cooking, playing games, spending time outside or just spending time with your family. Have a lovely day!

It's day four of children's mental health week. Your challenge today is to be active and get moving! Exercise can make us feel happier, give us more energy and help us sleep better.
Your challenge today is to design your own workout. Choose five exercises e.g. squats, start jumps, running on the spot, plank, burpees, push ups etc.
Complete each exercise for 30 seconds and then repeat this three times.

It's children's mental health week this week, so your screen free challenge today is to start the week off with some fresh air! Fresh air helps to send oxygen to the brain, which results in greater brain power! Allowing us to feel more energised and focused. Go for a walk, play in the garden, take your bike or scooter out or just sit outside and breathe in the fresh air.

Sock Throw Workout!
What you will need: A rolled up sock and a bin/target
How to play:
- Using a pair of socks the aim is to complete a series of mini exercises before throwing the socks into the bin/target.
- Begin one metre from the target. Start with ten squats. Once the exercises are complete, throw the object into the bin/target. If you miss, collect the socks and repeat until successful.
- Once a goal has been scored, retrieve the socks from the bin and stand two metres back and repeat. Once the second goal is complete, stand three metres back and repeat.
- The goal is to be the first player to hit the target three times.
You can stick with one exericse or choose different exercises each time!

Your challenge today is to create an outdoor peice of art! Use twigs or sticks to make the frame and natural resources to create your picture.

Your first screen free challenge is to design and make your own board game! Think about your favourite board games, could you add your own twist? Once you've designed and made your board game, test it out with your family!
