History

In History we have been learning about the Titanic.

This week I'd like you to look at the difference between primary and secondary sources of information.

Open the document below to show a range of posters, advertisements and statements all based around the Titanic.

Your challenge is to look at each piece of evidence and determine whether it is a primary source or secondary source.

After that, you will see a further document called 'Titanic Detective' below. Open this and within this, you will see questions to answer based on the primary and secondary sources of evidence.

Good luck, detectives!

Lesson 2:

In this lesson, you will investigate the lifeboats and who could be to blame.

Read the factfile in the documents. It provides further information about the lifeboats and how they were filled by passengers and crew.

Afterwards you will see two parts of questions to answer. Answer each question and activity.

Make your lifeboat timeline as creative as possible!
