Danielle Cooper - Staff Governor
Having been a Parent Governor for 6 years, when I took my first LSA role in the school back in 2016, I was pleased to remain a Governor at Spring Meadow by becoming the staff representative. Now as a teacher in the school I still find my role as Governor fulfilling.
I took the typical schooling journey of GCSEs, A Levels and then I attended Suffolk University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts. As is the way in many cases, I ended up in a job that made no use of my degree, but that I enjoyed and which allowed me to work part-time whilst my son was younger. I worked for local company SATO UK Ltd for 14 years before I left to work in the education system as an LSA.
My work as a Governor led me to think that this is what I wanted to do as a career. Once my son was old enough I embarked on my teacher training, which was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I truly believe that Spring Meadow is a wonderful school and a truly nurturing environment for its pupils and I look forward, in my role as Governor, to ensure that this continues.
