SENIOR MIDDAY SUPERVISOR

 

Spring Meadow Primary School and 'School House' Nursery is looking to appoint a creative, flexible and enthusiastic individual to lead our team of Midday Assistants in order to further improve the lunchtime experience of all of our children.

 

Salary Range - Band 2, scale point 11 - 14

Part Time - 10 hours per week (11.30am to 1.30pm)

Term time only - 38 weeks

MIDDAY ASSISTANT

 

Spring Meadow Primary School and 'School House' Nursery is looking to expand our team of Midday Assistants in order to further improve the lunchtime experience of all of our children.

 

Salary Range - Band 1, scale point 7 - 10

Part Time - 6.25 hours per week (11.55am to 1.10pm)

Term time only - 38 weeks

 

Closing Date: 26/01/2018

Interviews W/C: 29/01/2018

 

Duties include:

  • Preparing and/or clearing the dining hall
  • Encouraging good dining room practices
  • Providing playground supervision and support
  • Supervising indoor activities
  • Providing basic medical care where necessary (training will be provided)
  • Encouraging group games
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our children

You must have:

  • a flexible, positive and proactive approach
  • a genuine desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our children
  • the ability to communicate with children in a firm but fair manner
  • good organisational skills
  • patience and understanding

Spring Meadow Primary School and 'School House' Nursery are looking to appoint a dedicated Attendance Officer to workalongside our children and families to promote highlevels of attendance and punctuality, ensuring that our pupils achieve their potential. The hours of work will be 8am to 2pm (30 hours per week) during term time only (39 weeks). The contract will initially be for a fixed term of 1 year but this could be converted to a permanent role depending on impact.

This is a new role at this school which will be an invaluable addition to our Pupil Welfare Team.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • ideally have experience of working within a Primary School setting within a teaching support or administrative capacity
  • be self-motivated, professional and determined to break down the barriers that prevent children from coming to school every day on time
  • be able to develop effective relationships with staff, children and parents
  • be ICT literate, keeping accurate records and producing informative reports
